Haunted treehouse

Image Hosted by OK, it's not really haunted. It's not exactly in a tree either. But the girls love it. I built it for them one weekend this summer from mostly scrap lumber. They named it Fantastic Treehouse and put a sign on top with the name. It has a trapdoor to the second level. I built the lower level at a low height for the toddler girl. She spends all of her time on the top floor. Too small to see, but just above the stairs is a sign in crayon "No Boys allowed." The green thing in the bottom right corner is their turtle sandbox. In front of it is the counter where they sold so many "sand" cones to each other I need to buy more sand.

It is a fantastic treehouse! Great job!

The best part is, if the girls want it to be haunted, they can imagine that part for themselves.

Love your toddler's spunk, by the way!

Thanks 42. Yes the toddler is not lacking for spunk.

I thought that was part of the definition of toddler... That which is not explicitly forbidden is permitted - and the explicitly forbidden bits *must* be revisited on a regular basis. Couple that with zero sense of self-preservation, and, well... You know the rest.

Kids love to climb, don’t they?

I built a much less possessing treehouse once, but it was actually in a tree. Wife made me tear it down when she caught The Boy & his cousin jumping out of it (it was about six feet off the ground).
