What do we know of Frankenstein?
Curt, here's a conference for you. From the Charleston (Illinois) Journal Gazette:
Eastern Illinois University’s Booth Library aims to help the public learn more about the many facets of Mary Shelley’s famous literary creation when it hosts the traveling exhibit, “Frankenstein: Penetrating the Secrets of Nature,” from Monday through Nov. 22, plus several small, locally produced exhibits. “Booth is a very gothic building, so it lends itself well to bringing the exhibit in at this time of year,” said Booth administrative aid Peggy Manley of Halloween’s approach. Both Booth and Charleston Carnegie Public Library are hosting a series of Frankenstein-themed events during the exhibit’s stay. They are also encouraging people to read “Frankenstein” as part of the “One University, One Book” and “One City, One Book” programs.
