Now this looks cool... "Blood Moon Eve"
Some local (Seattle) pre-Halloween fun (check out the flyer posted on Craig's List):
In an evening of live music, costumed revelry, and dance performances, The Cabiri brings Seattle an opportunity to express its darker side, just in time for Halloween. Their “Blood Moon Eve” fundraising event will be held October 15 at Lo_fi Performance Gallery (429 Eastlake Avenue East), beginning at 9 p.m. The live music lineup will include Ensemble Sub Masa, a Transylvanian hoedown band, and Midnight on Europa, an otherworldly, experimental ensemble. The Cabiri will perform aerial dance and character vignettes throughout the evening. DJ’s Catherinna and Kaosqueen will spin dark, ethereal tunes suitable for dancing and merriment to round out the evening. Guests are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite villainous, macabre, sinister, or evil character from folklore, mythology, or fiction.Event is 21+, Tix are $10 in costume, $15 without... Yep, that's awesome (Blood Moon Eve). It would be awesome to attend if I lived (or was visiting) in the Seattle area. That too bad. However, I am looking forward to going on the Midnight Train Express through the Enchanted Forrest in a couple of weeks. It's a two hour train ride on an open train through a huge forrest filled with lots of horror stuff. It should be really fun. I'll take pics and post 'em!
