Cthulhu devours gamers

I don't post a lot of game news, but as an old Call of Cthulhu Keeper of the Arcane Lore, I find this interesting that the classic Arkham Horror! cooperative board game has been updated. From New Straits Times of Malaysia:

Hot in the footsteps of Shadows of Camelot, comes another highly anticipated cooperative game — Arkham Horror! Welcome to HP Lovecraft’s world of Cthulhu! The town of Arkham, Massachusetts, is in a panic. Horrific and bizarre events have begun to occur with increasing frequency — all seeming to point towards some cataclysmic event in the near future that may spell disaster for everyone. Only one small band of investigators can save Arkham from the Great Old Ones and destruction! Players take on the role of investigators, each with unique abilities, and square off against the diabolical servants of eight Ancient Ones, including Ithaqua, Hastur, and the terrible Cthulhu! An updated version for 2-8 players by the original creator, Richard Launius, no fan of the Cthulhu mythos will want to miss this classic!
Official site here. ::shakes cane:: Back in my day we played with pencil and paper and dice and i-mag-i-na-tion and that's how we liked it! In all seriousness, I own the original version of this two-decades-old board game, but never got the chance to play it because my friends always wanted to stick with the roleplaying game.
