Top horror movie characters

Via the always delightful bibi's box came this link to Premiere Magazine's Top 100 movie characters of all time. Here's how the horror* genre made out: 4. Norman Bates of Psycho 7. Indiana Jones of Raiders of the Lost Ark 8. Ellen Ripley of Alien 15. Hannibal Lecter of The Silence of the Lambs 17. Dorothy Gale of The Wizard of Oz 28. Captain Quint of Jaws 30. King Kong of King Kong 40. The Terminator of The Terminator 51. Freddy Krueger of A Nightmare on Elm Street 63. Carrie White of Carrie 65. Edward Scissorhands of Edward Scissorhands 77. Annie Wilkes of Misery 82. Jack Torrance of The Shining 86. Melanie Daniels of The Birds 87. Captain Jack Sparrow of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl 95. Oda Mae Brown of Ghost * Even considering my liberal interpretation of horror since I included movies that also had supernatural elements to them, such as the Wizard of Oz (the Wicked Witch and the Flying Monkeys are still scary cool), the horror genre did extremely well on the list. I would have ranked Michael Myers or Jason Voorhees higher than Freddy Krueger.

Uh yeah! I agree!!! Michael Myers should come first! Or his mother since she was the original killer.

The Shinning though, that is my all time fav. Gotta love The Shinning. I love those psychological horror films. They so mess with your mind!
