dc democrat: my humor (as i have learned many many times, but refuse to retain), doesn't translate well in cyberspace. even worse, when people don't get my jokes, i get self-righteous, which doesn't help my case. i am not surprised you thought i was a troll. i have that look.
carnacki, thanks for the link! you'll be on my permanent blogroll later this week!
Thanks to both of you for your kind words. I have been something of the unlettered ravel at dKos of late, and I have decided to take a break from posting there perhaps for the rest of the summer.
The first week or two is hard, but I confess I'm rather enjoying the break. I didn't realize how time consuming it was until I really stepped away. I do post occasionally at digbysblog to get a political fix, but it's just leaving a comment and out. Other than that, keep coming back here. The horror blogosphere -- certainly the ones in my blog roll -- are really friendly and nice people. We seldom, hardly ever, chop up our site visitors with an axe.
sorry it took so long, carnacki, but you are now on my roll (under social blogs, which is kind of a catch-all category for non-specifically-political blogs).

I used to think that Skippy was a troll. I really went after him once on dKos. I made a complete fool of myself and later sent him a note of apology.
That happens there sometimes. I once defended somebody who turned out to be a total troll.

I meant, "Rabble." You can see what I meant about "unlettered."

We prefer chain saws ;)
dcdemocrat and Carnacki:
Please do not stay away for too long. Take what time you need to refresh yourselves, but both your voices are too valuable to be gone for very long.
Thanks, 42! That's very kind.
Here's Maryscott's new blog:
