Haunted Philly inn to be turned into synagogue, community center

An historic Philadelphia-area inn with stories of murder, mayhem, hauntings, and a supposed Edgar Allen Poe connection is about to get a new lease on life - as a center for a community of ultra-Orthodox Jews:

MERION, Pa. - Rabbi Shraga Sherman knows about the murder, and he's heard about the ghosts. But it's going to take a lot more than that to scare him away from the General Wayne Inn, a historic and supposedly haunted building that he's transforming into a synagogue, Jewish community center and upscale kosher restaurant. [...] Over the centuries [the inn] has stayed true to its initial use as a roadside tavern, along the way hosting guests such as George Washington, the Marquis de Lafayette and the inn's namesake, Revolutionary War Maj. Gen. "Mad" Anthony Wayne. Edgar Allan Poe is rumored to have worked on "The Raven" there.
Some neat photos and history of the inn can be found here; plenty of paranormal links in the Google results here...
