Infiltration

Infiltration, the zine of abandoned and scary places we're not supposed to go. Hat tip to Keith of Old Haunts in the comments of this cool post by protected static.

That's pretty cool - I guy I used to work with was into 'urban caving' - they'd do the same thing, but with climbing gear... Grain elevators, cracking towers, limestone caves (St. Louis is lousy with them, and some of the old factories kept them open for cold storage - or smuggling, during Prohibition...), you name it.

He had some great photos - too bad his website's offline.

I worked in a papermill that had developed around the original plant so there were long vacant brick buildings with empty offices thick with dust to explore. There were places straight out of nightmares complete with leaky steam pipes providing fog and dark and dank brick cellars.

Haha--I actually did some drunken "urban exploring" (*real* urban explorers no doubt would like to pickaxe me for putting it like that) that landed me in jail one time!!
