I buy my coffee at Java House on 17th and Q Streets, N.W. They proprietor grew up Zoroastrian. The Zoroastrians are not long for the world. One only can be born into the faith; there are no proselytized conversions. The birthrate among the Zoroastrians has been declining precipitously, and the religion in a foreseeable future will become extinct.
That is sad news. There's a lot of beauty and wonder and mystery disappearing from the world.
