Killer mold destroying ancient tomb art

From the Asahai Shimbun:

Ruinous black mold is eating into an ancient mural here that has been designated a national treasure. The drawing of a white tiger in the seventh- to eighth-century Takamatsuzuka tomb was already known to be deteriorating badly, prompting a renewed effort by the Cultural Affairs Agency to preserve this valuable artifact from Japan's past.
