Strangeness afoot in Europe
For whatever reason, there was a (metric) ton of truly odd stories on the BBC's site earlier today (2 August). First, two almost identical headlines. Initially, I thought it was a typo of some kind... But no, they're two different stories:
Weird. But truly... what else does one say about finding caches of baby remains?
Moving east, there's a piece on a Russian PM's move to ban folk magic as being a 'danger to society'. Hey, lady: if the Orthodox Church hasn't been able to do it in over 1000 years, you think you can just wave a wand and... uh. Never mind.
Back west and to the south, we have a video piece (Real Audio format) on the rise of Satanism in Italy. Should we tell Dan Brown?
I gotta read the Beeb's website with an eye for the weird more often...

I was curious to see what the BBC would say about Bush endorsing ID in schools, but couldn't find an article there on it.
I just checked the guardian and didn't see anything there either. I think the social issues being pushed are the illusionist's tricks to distract the audience from the huge amount of corporate theft and government corruption going on.
There is some serious sh*t happening right now in mankind's collective unconscious. I wonder where it all is going to lead to.
anon,
No where good I'm afraid.
