Archaeologists find a Chinese Pompeii
Archaeologists stumbled upon it by accident. Makes me wonder what other secrets are hidden within the earth. From Sky News:
Archaeologists in China have discovered what they believe could be their own version of Italy's Pompeii. They have found an entire village which could have been buried in an earthquake 700 years ago. Experts believe it could also have been destroyed by a succession of floods. The previously unknown village, in the northern province of Hebei, appears to have been a booming commercial centre during the Song Dynasty, which lasted from 960 to 1279 AD.
